Hit a Hole in One

If mini-golf is more your style, Neptune Park on St. Simons Island provides an 18-hole course that will keep everyone on their toes. Try your luck at a hole in one as you make your way around this exciting, colorful and creative course together. When you’re done, head over to the sprawling playground for a chance to make the most of the slides, bridges, monkey bars and so much more! While admission is free for those visitors looking to just enjoy the playground, guests who want the entire experience will pay a ticket price of $8 for swimming and $8 for mini-golf.

The nostalgic, vintage 1930s wooden trolleys provide a fun atmosphere for the tour, while entertaining guides provide information in an engaging way. 36 points of interest, including the St. Simons Lighthouse, Fort Frederica, Christ Church, and Bloody Marsh provide a look at a wide range of events in the region’s past, from battles with the Spanish in the early 1700s to the lighthouse that was constructed in the 1800s and is still in use today!

To enjoy a more in-depth look at the St. Simons Lighthouse, you won’t have to venture far from Neptune Park. The property also boasts a museum, where interactive elements offer another layer of engagement for children. Step back in time with your children to the years that pre-date electricity and indoor plumbing when you venture into the lighthouse keeper’s former dwellings, where a resident keeper and his family stayed to keep the light going with a kerosene oil lamp. The comparison between modern day dwellings and the simple furnishings and antique toys present in the dwellings stand in stark contrast.
