Pennies for Preservation

St. Simons Land Trust’s Pennies for Preservation program

Lilmar Properties is dedicated to protecting and preserving the Golden Isles by participating in the St. Simons Land Trust’s Pennies for Preservation program. Pennies for Preservation is a 1% giving program in which the business community helps raise funds to preserve and protect greenspaces, wilderness areas, trails, waterways, wildlife, important habitat, and tree canopy on St. Simons Island.

Lilmar Properties generously donates 1% of property revenue to this program. Your stay with Lilmar Properties turns pennies into protected acres.

100% of the 1% contributions goes directly to preserving 70 acres at Oatland North and helps create a wilderness corridor on St. Simons Island. Oatland North is nestled within maritime forest that is thick with live oaks, pines, palmetto, and other indigenous coastal plants. The property is contiguous with Cannon’s Point Preserve, an undeveloped, 608-acre wilderness tract that has historic significance, important habitat for rare plants and animals, and other high-value environmental features.

Thank you for helping us protect and preserve the Georgia coast.

“There is so much joy in sharing the beauty and magnificence of St. Simons Island with our guests. We are honored to partner with the St. Simons Land Trust and the Pennies for Preservation Program to help preserve our wonderful island for residents and visitors for many years to come.”
