Highland House

We felt right at home at Highland House. Nicely furnished and decorated. Great shower in the master bath. Coffee table was great for playing games while others are watching tv in the other room. Plenty of room for 4 teenagers and 2 adults. We did carry out from Sal's Neighborhood Pizzeria, delicious! Visited Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, it was a beautiful 70 degree December day. We hope to return to Highland House.

The house was very clean and roomy. There was an issue with water pressure in the guest bath--very poor. The front door lock was hard to operate and likely should be replaced.

We enjoyed our stay at the highland house. The house was as advertised and mid island so just a quick drive to beach , shopping and restaurants. Other reviewers mentioned bare minimum on toiletries and kitchen supplies so I knew ahead of time to bring extra toiletries and kitchen supplies. The beds were very comfortable. The water pressure in the bathrooms was great and the bathroom towels were of high quality, plush and super soft. The backyard is really pretty ,fenced in, well manicured and relaxing to hang out on the patio. The house was well kept and clean. The only negative I had and why I can only give 3 stars for cleanliness because we killed 2 roaches in the dining room living room area so it needs to be sprayed for bugs. I don’t like bugs and seeing one let alone 2 roaches is too many for me. Overall it’s a great well kept house.

This was a precious little house that perfectly accommodated our needs. It's an older home that's been completely renovated and is located in a sweet neighborhood. I saw this property on VRBO but decided to book with Lilmar Properties directly. I’m glad I did. They were very easy to work with. This property was beautifully decorated. I loved all of the updates especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. There was plenty of room for all 5 of our adult family members. I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of beach items available in the house including towels, chairs and totes. The house was very cozy, comfy and quiet…perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or other activities. I would definitely choose this property again.

Plenty of sheets and comforters for the comfy beds, plenty of towels and face cloths. Each room is tastefully decorated. Lots of hot water and great water pressure for our after beach day showers. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house accommodated 5 adults comfortably. The beautiful shower with the main bedroom’s bath is amazing ! The extra large refrigerator accommodated all of our food with room to spare. The location provided easy access to many places we visited. The neighborhood was quiet,even though it is close to the airport. One possible improvement would be to place a caution sign at the step that goes down to the tv room. Just a safety feature we thought about.

The Highland House is a very cute, clean and functional option located mid island very close to shopping, beaches and restaurants. Very nicely furnished, located in a quiet neighborhood, the house fit all our needs. Unfortunately the only issue we had was with the Xfinity cable system, which was so odd and off putting that we never figured out how to watch live college football (it was a Georgia football weekend) or any live news. We watched one CBS Morning show that was a week old. On the plus side there was Netflix and Amazon. Otherwise this is an outstanding choice for either couples like us or families.

Wife and I were so impressed the last time we stayed here for a week, we decided to try it again. It was like we went back in time. The convenience, the cleanliness, the furnishings, provides a feeling of comfort one would expect at their own residence. The house was immaculate. Very well equipped kitchen with all the necessary equipment. It was nice having 2 full bathrooms with plush towels and shampoo, conditioner dispensers. The house was cozy and nicely decorated. We had access to the full house and back yard. The bonus TV room has surround sound and an extensive collection of DVD's. Great location close to restaurants, shops and the beach. It was nice to be able to hose off sand with the garden hose set up by the front door. Would highly recommend.

The house was immaculate. Very well equipped kitchen with all the necessary equipment. It was nice having 2 full bathrooms with plush towels and shampoo, conditioner dispensers. The house was cozy and nicely decorated. We had access to the full house and back yard. The bonus TV room has surround sound and an extensive collection of DVD's. Great location close to restaurants, shops and the beach. It was nice to be able to hose off sand with the garden hose set up by the front door. Would highly recommend

This is a well decorated home and great location. Only a few minutes ride to the beach, Lighthouse, grocery store and restaurants. The Kitchen was very well equipped. Only needs tall 16-20 oz glasses. We loved the blue color coordination throughout the house. Lots of extra linen. And we were blown away by the huge first aid kit in the master bathroom area. Wow!! It actually came in handy for a cut. The internet was spotty and the TV cable did not work in the main area. The realtor attempted to fix it throughout our stay but was unable to get it. The den was a life saver. We would highly recommend this home and would stay there again if in the area.

This home is elegant, spacious and very well decorated. The Kitchen has absolutely anything you would want except for tall 16-20 oz. tea like glasses. We were impressed with the Largest First Aid Kit I've ever seen with so many supplies. Also it's had extra conveniences: beach chair; boogie boards, pail/shovel, bath towels, toiletries (bath wash, shampoo conditioner, body lotion, bar soap, towelettes). All the appliances were top of the line and we enjoyed the nice gas grill outside. We would most definitely rent again. It was close to everything and easy to get around. We recommend the Southern Soul BBQ, The Fancy Q Sushi for take out and the Chile Peppers Cantina. Lilmar responded promptly but unfortunately was unable to get the main TV to get regular network probably due to severe weather. The den did have TV and was really a nice extra that most homes don't have. Internet was sporadic.

Perfect location for a New Year get away. Highland House was beautiful and comfortable. Although there a lot of great restaurants nearby, we cooked most of our meals. The kitchen and grill made cooking a breeze for multiple cooks. Lots of space to spread out with everything we needed. The master shower was amazing! Would love to stay there again!

This was a perfect house. We came down for a soccer tournament and could not have been more pleased. The house is located in a precious neighborhood close to grocery and restaurants. It is updated and comfortable. There were plenty of extra linens and the kitchen had everything you needed. If ever back to the island, I would stay here again.

Clean property with a great layout- we play games each night after dinner and the large table was great! The additional family room was a great bonus. And the bathrooms were awesome- who doesn't love a rain shower option! The outdoor shower and place to was up beach gear was a huge plus. Drive to Massingale Park was quick (we like that beach for the ample parking and bath houses) Overall we had a great time and the house was a perfect fit for my all adult family.

Visiting SSI is always a wonderful family experience. This was our first time at Highland House, and it was a great place to stay. There were 6 of us ranging from 3 to 66, and we all had a blast! The house has plenty of room for family meals and fun. Three TVs were plenty and loved by all as were the board games and overall time away. The house is in a good middle, quiet location. Neighbors are very friendly, and well…we just wanted to stay. Can’t wait to visit again!

The pictures don't do the house justice which is unusual. Great floorplan, large fenced yard, updated appliances and really nice updated Smart TV's, came in handy for using apps like Disney Plus for the kids! Also very quiet street! We loved our stay!

House was quiet and convenient to nearly everything. It looks like it was recently upgraded and nicely done. The kitchen vent hood is very low, as my wife (5'8") bumped her head a couple times on the inside corners. Also, the bed linens in the smaller (queen bed) bedroom were well worn. Time for new linens. First time not staying on East Beach, but we were very happy with Highland House. It is beautifully decorated with a comfortable layout. All appliances and kitchenware are high-end. Linens are luxurious. The drive over to the public beach was only 5 minutes and we were close to shopping and restaurants. We will be back!

We visited this property during Christmas / New Years. Our daughter works on St. Simons and it made things so convenient. The house was so comfortable. Grandson inhabited the den with his xbox ... we played many games of Phase 10 on the table ... my wife cooked some great meals with the utensils there ...and the beds were so comfortable. We didn't have any complaints and had a great holiday! The house was clean and the few times we needed to ask something we got a reply pretty quick! Would be happy to stay there again.

This house exceeded our expectations. We met family for Thanksgiving, and felt immediately comfortable in the house; the decor is adorable, there is a lot of great space, a well appointed kitchen, outdoor space for grilling in a quiet, private neighborhood. Everything we were looking for to relax and enjoy family. The location was super close to beach and Island activities, would absolutely recommend and stay again when we are in the area.

We came to SSI for a wedding and wanted to stay in a 'home away from home' with our sons and daughter-in-law. This home was just right for us! The home was clean and furnished beautifully. We could be practically anywhere on the island in a few minutes, so the location was great, too.

We came from WI to SSI for a wedding in August and wanted to find a 'home away from home' to stay in for an extended weekend while we explored the area. This home was perfect for our family - the house was clean, lovely, and had most everything we needed. We didn't cook much, as there were lots of tasty and convenient eating out options, but this walk-through kitchen is up-front and easy to use. Because the temps and humidity were high, we appreciated a comfortably cool place to rest at the end of our days of hiking, exploring, and touring this charming island!

Great place to stay! Very clean and master bed and bathroom are amazing! I loved the kitchen and the side end room w the tv. Lawn was well kept and nice touch w the Palm trees! Great place to stay!

Our stay at this house was nice the house is more beautiful then pictured and extremely clean! my only drawback is i wish they informed you that people would be doing routine lawn care/maintenance. but I love the house and would love to stay there again! This has been my 5th time renting with this property management team and they are the best. The house is beautiful and has all of the amenities of home. Very clean, modern but very comfortable for a home away from home. We had a great relaxing time. I will definitely use the Witt's again all of their properties that I have used have been amazing. Can't wait to plan our next stay.

We had a great stay in SSI at this house. It was neat & clean with all the amenities you need for a “home away from home”. Easy parking, super close to restaurants & groceries, comfy beds & lots of towels. Nice backyard too but we didn’t use it much as the temps were chilly! And even though it’s close to the airport the air plain noise did not disrupt our stay at all. Checking in & out was a breeze! Wonderful spot!

This house is immaculate and decorated elegantly. Our family of four had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The backyard was delightful, plush greenery, palm trees and a table and chairs to eat at or relax. The kitchen had all I needed to vacation cook and our boys loved the cable tv with some free movies and I liked that the kid controls were already set. The management was great with quick and accurate details of check-in and checkout policies. And they responded quickly. The location was great. You could ride your bike to the beach but still close to food in Redfern, Southernsoul BBQ, Starbucks, fastfood and the grocery store. We highly recommend this home.
