We loved our stay at Casa de Playa and the kids did not want to leave. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a week away. The neighborhood was great for riding bikes and it was very close to shops and restaurants. The airport nearby didn’t bother us as it was mostly small general aviation aircraft. We had one minor issue in the kitchen that was responded to and addressed promptly. Five stars for an awesome house and the management company.

We had a fantastic time at this rental in St. Simons Island. The house was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was absolutely wonderful, with plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun. Parking was more than adequate, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short golf cart ride to beach access and very close to the Village area with shops and restaurants. Though it's near the airport, we were never disturbed by any plane noise. The home had tons of pantry space and thoughtful touches throughout, including provided beach towels, which we really appreciated. Overall, the property was in excellent condition, and the property management team was a pleasure to work with—responsive and professional. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Simons!

There were 8 of us (two boys 11 and 13yrs, the rest adults). Great location, easy to get everywhere on foot, bike, golf cart or car. Pool was wonderful as well as the outdoor patio area, very relaxing. The house was ideal. Frist it was very well maintained, the layout was excellent, 3 bedrooms/2 full baths on one side and one bedroom and bath on the other. In the center was a very big and open kitchen, dining area and living room that handled all of us very well. We felt it a great value for the price and will certain return in the future.

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The back yard is totally private, grass area for the dogs or kids, beautiful pool with a heater that really worked, an outdoor fireplace that really worked, and ample seating for eight people. The house is great. The kitchen is one of the best equipped and efficient kitchens we have ever encountered. Everything was truly fabulous. The TV was ready to go with YouTube TV and the credentials already entered so you didn’t have to fool around with entering your own. We did t watch the TV much (except it was March Madness) because we were close enough to town to walk in multiple times a day. Truly worth renting - extraordinarily comfortable for a group.

Everything was perfect and fit our family. We loved how when we walked through the gate we felt like we were in our own oasis. Pictures can always be deceiving, as I have learned through many rentals. However, not in the case of Casa de Playa. The house looks exactly as pictured, if not better. It was immaculately clean and everything is very up to date. We were able to enjoy the pool, thanks to the heating option, which was awesome. It is close to the airport, but the planes are few and far between and didn't bother us at all. The property management team is easy to work with and prompt to answer any questions. Would recommend 100%

The property itself is very nice, and so is the location. We had a couple of small issues that were quickly corrected by management. However, if I am being charged extra for "cleaning" I don't think I should be expected to help do the cleaning. We were expected to place our dishes into the dishwasher, take out the trash, place dirty towels into a pile and strip the beds. What exactly was my cleaning fee covering?

The steps we request from departing guests, such as loading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, and gathering used linens, help our housekeeping team focus on delivering the highest level of cleanliness and service within the time constraints between guest departures and arrivals.  That said, we understand your concerns, and your feedback is valuable as we continuously strive to improve our processes and guest experience. This lovely and well-appointed home was perfect for our family over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (and more)! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There wasn't a thing missing! It is a great location to easily get to downtown St Simons/the beach and to head the other direction for grocery/shopping/Sea Island. While it was a little chilly to utilize the outside, the pool/chairs/fireplace/sitting area/side yard are amazing and would be fantastic for the summer.

This lovely and well-appointed home was perfect for our family over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (and more)! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There wasn't a thing missing! It is a great location to easily get to downtown St Simons/the beach and to head the other direction for grocery/shopping/Sea Island. While it was a little chilly to utilize the outside, the pool/chairs/fireplace/sitting area/side yard are amazing and would be fantastic for the summer.

We enjoyed our time at Casa De Playa so much, we will absolutely be back. The home is set up perfectly to feel like you are in your own private oasis. The outdoor living area is just as important as in door and it did not disappoint. We had our two goldens with us and they loved having two large yards to play and explore in. The home is so well kept, clean and decorated. Did not want to leave.

This property was perfect for our weekend stay. House was very clean and well equipped.The location was perfect. Hurricane Helene hit our first of three nights there and we lost power. We were still able to cook with the grill and gas stove, but it would have also been nice to be able to open the windows(there are no screens, so that was not an option with mosquitos being bad).since there was no power, and travel around was difficult, we decided to cut our trip short and leave a day early. We passed the time enjoying the outside pool area; my son cleaned all the debris from the pool and we picked up most of the yard debris. We didn’t ask for any refunds, but it would have been nice to receive some kind of discount. My only recommendation for this property would be window screens and may a small generator to use to at least run ceiling fans. If there is ever a chance to change out the hot water heater, a gas heater would have made showers bearable! Hopefully, we will have a future opportunity to visit this property again.

The property is accurately described in the listing, it’s a wonderful home for a casual getaway. The communication was excellent and we didn’t incur any problems. The pool area and yard are absolutely beautiful and the layout of the home takes full advantage of the view. There were some minor cleanliness issues and for some reason the washer would randomly start beeping at odd hours. We had a great stay and loved the area!

Fantastic pool & outside seating area that allows many family members to be together was wonderful. We also enjoyed the great location near Pier Village with many restaurants & shops. The enclosed fence around the property was very good for pets. We also enjoyed the fact that each bedroom opened onto the outside gathering area around the pool.

I planned a long weekend getaway for myself, my two daughters and two granddaughters at Casa De Play, May 31st-June 4th. When we arrived the grounds, the pool and the house were immaculate and so welcoming! The house was well stocked with cooking utensils, and plenty of beach towels. After long relaxing, fun filled days the beds were quiet comfortable. St. Simon’s shopping and dining was only an easy 18 minute walk, and everyone in town was very friendly. We enjoyed walking in the beautiful park and the pier. The beach is only a 10 minute drive with lots of parking. We enjoyed everything about staying in this beautiful home and will definitely book it again next year! The Wood’s, Johnson’s and Weaver’s.

The house was great and we enjoyed the pool. And the service your agency supplied was excellent You were always supportive and very responsive to our inquiries I would make a suggestion. The coffee maker does not shut off by itself and sometimes we forgot to turn it off which could be a fire hazard I would suggest that you not recommend Island Carts. We found out they are no longer on Island and their service was terrible and the cart had seen better days

We had 5 generations of family stay/meet up at this gorgeous home. The pool area is a huge highlight, and the kitchen has all the essentials you will need. We went around the island, but honestly didn’t feel the need to leave the house as we cooked out and enjoyed the heated pool. The layout of the home is great also (shaped like a U) with 3 bedrooms on one side (two kings and two twins with a trundle) and 1 bedroom on the other side (queen with its own bath), and the kitchen and living area in the middle. All of the rooms have a view of the pool (except the twin beds room) - that room had a view of the several hundred year old magnolia tree (gorgeous)! There is a grassy area on either side of the pool with beautiful foliage including an Australian fern, a black walnut tree, a loquat tree, loads of rose bushes, a Japanese maple, palm trees, and near the parking pad are olive trees. Just gorgeous! Also, it says parking for 4, but we had family come in for the day and visit and there is actually room for 6 vehicles if you count the garage area and right outside the courtyard. This place was an absolute dream and we loved every minute of it. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Also, we dealt with Susan from LilMar Properties and she was fantastic!

Casa de Playa was a wonderful respite from the deep freeze of Maine. Gorgeous landscaping, wonderful (heated!) pool, outdoor fires, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and great fenced in yard for our pup to enjoy. Perfect location within walking distance to the Village, the baseball fields, tennis an pickleball courts, the Lighthouse and the fishing pier. The airport proximity didn’t bother us much though the number of private jets on weekends could be intrusive. We’ve already booked our stay for next year.

Casa De Playa wins our vote for top spot of homes we've enjoyed in SSI. Not only is the location convenient and quiet, the home itself has a one-level layout making both indoor and outdoor living extremely enjoyable. Whether the whole group was cooking in the open kitchen, chatting in the family room, or lounging by the pool or by the fire in the outdoor fireplace, we had plenty of comfortable seating and room to easily move around to enjoy everyone's company. This is an incredibly beautiful property, well planned and beautifully appointed and yet very family friendly. We loved everything about the house, but most especially thought that the yard was incredible. We love the pool we loved the fireplace in the evening. We weren’t able to get the lights to work on the pool or on the left side of the front porch as you face the house, but those were minor inconveniences. We love the house. Laid out perfectly multi generation. Appointments are beautiful, but it feels very relaxed. The yard was incredible. It’s beautiful we love the pool. We weren’t able to make the lights work on the pool or to the left side of the front porch but that was a minor inconvenience. We would love to stay there again at some point in the future.

Overall another great stay! We thoroughly enjoy all the outdoor space that the property has to offer. Clean grill ready for use was great too, plenty of options to sit outside. We lost a day of pool use because of unscheduled tree trimming which was disappointing, especially when I was told that the pool company was waiting until they knew the tree people were gone to return for the day. I had relayed to Lilmar at my initial call about the trees and pool that the landscapers had already left the property. This was at about 12:30 and the issue wasn’t resolved until about 5. I also felt like I had to stay at the house while the landscapers were there cutting trees and I’m thankful I did because they left the back gate wide open and unlocked. Inside the house, it could definitely use some upgrades and repairs. Storage space for clothes (drawers specifically) are difficult to open, broken handles, or extremely small.

I would give this property a four stars because of the cleanliness, location, and backyard. The pros were the backyard was truly an oasis, all kitchen appliances were very clean and functional, the AC and high speed internet worked great, and the furniture was very comfortable. The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet. The noise from the planes were minimal. Some of the cons were that the second king bedroom did not have an en suite so you have to share the bathroom next door to it with the room that have the two single beds. However, the queen bedroom had its own en suite, but no TV. Also, the bedroom with the two single beds does not have TV as well. You would definitely need to get around via golf cart or car if you plan on going to the beach and the restaurants at the pier. I would say a group with adults larger than 8 people would be a tight fit as the house is not that large. We had a group of 6 people and it felt comfortable. We were a bit surprised that the house was not equipped with salt and pepper, so you definitely need to bring that with you. Overall this is a great house and great getaway.

We got off to a bit of a rocky start but the management team was very responsive to our issues so that was much appreciated. Casa de Playa was a beautiful home but did need a few things. The pillows for the beds were absolutely horrible. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen such horrible pillows honestly. And the home’s kitchen needed a few things…there were only five spoons in the entire house which is definitely not enough for a 4 bedroom home and there were only two measuring spoons in various sizes. We couldn’t get the TV to work in the den but that was okay because we didn’t really watch any TV at all. The outdoors area is really nice, could use some new lounge chairs., but the landscaping is beautiful. All in all we would definitely book again through Lilmar because they are great and will always come back to SSI but I don’t know if we’d choose to stay here again.

The outdoor living area is amazing!!! Huge yard and big, wonderful pool. Perfect yard for your dog (completely fenced). The house is beautiful as well. Overall it was a fantastic experience. The house was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool and outdoor area. Our dogs were happy and safe. One of the dogs, that doesn't really like the hot weather, stayed outside as much as I have seen in years. The location was perfect. This was our fourth time in Saint Simons and definitely our best stay!

Our family loved Casa de Playa. It was just as the pictures showed. Loved that the bedrooms opened up to the patio and pool areas. The home was clean and furniture was comfortable and stylish. The kitchen had everything in it that we needed. It was so nice to have the pool there, especially for our little granddaughter to splash around in. We did have to remove leaves daily from the pool and hoped that it would have been professionally cleaned while we were there, but we saw no sign that anyone had come to do so. Airport was close and had frequent noise from takeoffs. But, generally speaking, we had a great time and loved the privacy fence that surrounded the property. You all were responsive to our needs and we really appreciate that! We hope to rent from you again in the near future.

In the bedroom where there was a king size bed there seem to be a lump in the middle of it. The one that we are talking about is the owner bedroom. As far as the kitchen is concerned there is one frying pan that seems to be old and needs to be replaced because when we fried something our food tends to stick to it. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to any of our friends or family if they visit Saint Simons Island to stay at Casa de Playa. Overall it was a fantastic experience. The house was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool and outdoor area. Our dogs were happy and safe. One of the dogs, that doesn't really like the hot weather, stayed outside as much as I have seen in years. The location was perfect. This was our fourth time in Saint Simons and definitely our best stay!

The pool area is beautiful, relaxing and allows space for corn-hole toss games as well as multiple seating and dinning areas for guests. No matter time of day, you have a choice of being in the sun or shade. We are a group that enjoys cooking together. The large island and openness of main rooms made it fun for 5 adults to cook at the same time. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. Grocery stores and markets are close. The beach is an easy, scenic drive and there are many restaurants within 5-10 minute drive.

We haven't traveled due to COVID in over a year and missed our beach vacation last year so when I saw this had a private pool and was available, we went on our first trip to SSI! The beach was close by but honestly, we rarely left this house due to the amazing privacy fence and pool. We felt like we were in our own private resort with the beautiful landscaping. We did pay to heat the pool in May and it was worth it as recommended by a previous reviewer. We rode bikes a lot and visited some local places for curbside or to go orders only. Definitely want to come back and do more exploring when the COVID situation is better about 10 percent mask wearing rate the week we went. ALSO GOOD TO KNOW: Small airport is close by and planes do start departing around 8 am (wasn't a problem for us since I always bring a sound machine but thought others would want to know they like to sleep in) and smaller dogs can get under the gates of the fence so must keep an eye on them (mine is 20 lbs and was able to squeeze under it)! I wouldn't hesitate to book again, amazing place and felt lucky to find it! None of us wanted to leave when our stay was over!

My husband and I rented this beautiful house with our 4 children and 2 dogs. We needed a change of scenery and some relaxation, this house did not disappoint. The outdoor area is pristine and perfect for everyone to play. The kids swam day and night - the option to have the pool heated was ideal in mid-May. We loved having a glass of wine on the patio at night. The house has a wonderful layout with the open kitchen/living room and the decorations were very beachy. We felt right at home! The property manners were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend renting a golf cart or bikes for trips into town and to the beach. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was so nice to find a really clean and nicely decorated home that allowed us to travel with our dog. We loved the fenced in back yard that was also privately fenced. We sat around the pool often and it was a nice location to a local dog park with playground and shops and restaurants. Nice quiet neighborhood. Will definitely come back to stay.

We just returned from a two week stay on St. Simons ( our happy place ) and stayed at Casa De Playa. What a terrific home! The yard and pool were wonderful for outside enjoyment and the one story main house was comfortable and beautifully decorated and maintained. If you plan to visit St Simons Island and have furry friends tagging along, this is the spot. Huge fenced in yard with all the privacy you need in a quiet neighborhood walking distance from all the great restaurants on the island. We hope to visit again soon.

What a wonderful spring break trip for our family. The house was perfect, well kept, clean, and had everything we needed. The outdoor oasis was where we spent most of our time. The pool was warm and the kids loved swimming in mid-March! Our nights were cool and were spent by the wood burning fire. We rented a golf cart to go to the beach and local restaurants. We even hired a private chef to prepare a few meals for us and the property management team was excellent and helpful with recommendations. Thanks for a fantastic vacation! We will be back.

We had an amazing time! Casa de Playa completely exceeded our expectations. The house is even more beautiful in person and we fantasized what our life could be like here on St. Simons. This has been the perfect house for our girls retreat! Great location, great house, love the pool (which by the way holds 7 rafts easily) and a great private lot. One amazing quality about the house is that even though we ate and drank our way through 5 days, the mirror at the end of the hall proves we haven't gained any weight and our legs have gotten longer! We will be back!

House layout is perfect, property was clean, we loved the pool, and the property is fenced for your furry friend! This was our second stay at this property. The house is a gem: laid out well, nicely furnished, and well-equipped. Great outdoor space- spacious and private. Only complaint this time was that private pool was not clean (pool filter/pump malfunction). We reported this to the rental company and they sent out a pool guy. Hopefully this was just a one time thing but it did put a damper on our vacation having the private pool fill with algae. We didn’t have this problem when we stayed the first time. Also, the rental property promised that “housekeeping, maintenance and inspection teams will be equipped with proper PPE (masks and gloves) to protect themselves and guests while in and around each of our properties.” This was decidedly NOT the case. Neither the pool technicians, nor landscapers, nor housekeeping teams that we encountered checking out at the end of our stay wore masks or practiced social distancing during COVID. To be fair, we found this to be true for SSI in general, but it was still disappointing.

Hi Carol! Thank you for being a returning guest with us at Casa de Playa. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time at the cottage this summer. Yes, unfortunately we did have an issue with the pool pump that apparently lost it's prime. Apologies that this issue came up, but we do try and resolve issues as quickly as possible. Our housekeeping teams are instructed to wear protective masks and disinfect surfaces as they are cleaning. I am disappointed to hear that this was not the case when you interacted with housekeeping and this issue has been addressed. The pool and landscaping contractors are hired by the owners of the property and we do not have control over their employees and the use of protective measures. These contractors do work outside and should normally not have a lot of interaction if any with guests or be inside a property. We will ask those companies to wear a mask when interacting with guests at this property and other properties. Thank you again for being our guest and we hope you will have your family back again soon!

We have visited at simons many times and this so far was my families favorite. Great location close to everything. Beds very comfortable and house stocked with everything that you need. Pool is wonderful and grounds are spectacular. Would give it a ten if we could. Look forward to coming back.

House was stocked with everything you need. The only thing that was missing was beach chairs. The beach and pier is a small drive away. Pier and town only 1 mile away so can walk if needed. Dog friendly house with beautiful cement floors throughout. I would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our trip to SSI. Have been down dozens of times and by far the best rental we have been in. Really enjoyed the kitchen and living area. Very clean and well laid out house which is perfect for multiple couples or families with children. Ideal location super close to golf courses and restaurants. Beach is a short drive. Time of trip weather wasn't conducive to pool but still nice to have. Optimal summer house for sure! Will definitely return

The property exceeded what I was anticipating. The homelike atmosphere of the home made everyone in my family relax and enjoy each other. We laughed, we made memories and relived humorous incidents from our past. Everyone agreed that we would rent this home again. We arrived just a few days after the hurricane hit St. Simon's Island. In the days preceding our arrival we were in touch with you and/or your husband to check on the condition of the Island and the property. You kept us up-to-date on the possible damage (there was none to the property). We would definitely use your services again. The only suggestion I would have would be to install a TV in one of the bedrooms, which had none.

This place is awesome! Beautiful house, pool and grounds. Perfect open and roomy layout of house for our family of 6. My family has been renting vacation homes from VRBO for at least 10 years from all over the US, Puerto Rico and Aruba. This property is now our new favorite! We rented bikes and were able to ride to everywhere we needed to go including shops, restaurants and beach! So much fun! Some days we didn't go anywhere and just enjoyed the inside and outside of the house. It really seemed like we were staying in a resort just for us! Only needed our car for loading up on groceries. Wall surrounding property allowed for plenty of privacy and lots of room for our Boxer to run and play. We truly hated to have to leave.

The property was clean, kid friendly and room for everyone to eat together! We enjoyed the pool and easy access to the historic part of the town. We ate at Brogens,Barbara Jeans and Crabdaddy's. The salmon was to die for. We will definitely come back

We stayed here mainly because it has its own pool and walled courtyard. There were 4 adults, 2 Grandparents and 4 children all 5 years old or younger. Plenty of room and the layout of the house is perfect! Large open kitchen/living room, doors that open directly to the patio in two of the bedrooms, and best of all we could let the kids run and play in yard because of the privacy gates and wall. While it is not on the beach, we could get in the car and hit our favorite beach spot down near 5th and 6th Street in about 5 minutes. They provided extras like a coffeemaker, blender, pool toys, floats, etc. If you need a place to stay and want to be close to downtown St. Simons and also close to the grocery store, "adult beverage store", Southern Soul BBQ(get the ribs!), this is the place! The privacy wall around the property made us feel like we had no neighbors and had this "mini resort" to ourselves. Perfect for anyone looking to be at the beach without being "on the beach." We will stay here again next year!

This house is like having a vacation in a vacation! We had everything we could ask for in our private little villa! A short walk to the village to Mallery's for breakfast, a fun day at the beach and we got to come back to a heated pool, a cozy fire outside and then comfy beds at night! Beach towels, pool toys and beach chairs are all provided! We rented bikes in the village at Two Brothers Bike shop and never had to even turn on the car! Perfect for families since there are no steps to maneuver! We will be back!!!
