Atlantic Cottage

A wonderful experience! Only two episodes took away from an otherwise terrific visit. On two occasions smoke alarms went off in the house. The first was during the first morning we were there, which was reported. A service man came out and installed a replacement while also programming the TV remote. He was great by the way. The malfunctioning sensor was above the doorway into the small room near the front door. The second episode was in the master bedroom downstairs at about 5:30 am the day we checked out. That sensor is above the door to the room. It shut off after a minute or two, fortunately. Apparently, these style units are known to malfunction. We have no complaint to register. But we do think you should know two things. First, obviously the sensors are unreliable. Second, the sound on the alarm was sufficiently loud to scare my wife and I a lot. But, interestingly, the couple with us who were sleeping upstairs never heard it. That says a lot for the soundproofing of the house, but it does raise a questions about the real usefulness for safety.

Fantastic property! Beautifully decorated and very modern feel. Could use a few more rolls of TP and an additional paper towel roll. The king bed upstairs is painfully noisy. I’ve slept on a 200 year old bed that didn’t squeak so much. But again we very much loved our stay. Just wish the sleep was a bit more restful.

This house was perfect for our family! Able to walk to the beach quickly and near several nice restaurants we could walk to. The house was impeccably clean and furnished with everything you need or can think of! First class! Fabulous covered porch area with TV. Great pool area too! The property is walking distance to a the beach with a few places to eat or get a drink around it. While there are houses close by, it still feels very private. We had a great time and would definitely rent this house again.

Very nice property and location, we enjoyed it very much. You do need to consider new mattress's for all bedrooms and possible changing out queen for a king. If you did this we would definitely stay again.

This house has an upscale beach house vibe. It was clean, the rooms were well kept, and it had a pool. Additionally, it’s walkable to a beach access as well as a few restaurants and a brewery. The hosts were very responsive to any questions and concerns we had.

Our family could not have been more pleased with Atlantic Cottage - perfect amount of living/common area as well as bedroom/baths. Our granddaughters LOVED the heated pool (well worth the additional expense!) and bunk beds, and location was awesome. Weather was not the best for us this week, but it didn't matter because we had such wonderful accommodations. I HIGHLY recommend Atlantic Cottage, and hope to be back in the future......Thank you, Lilmar Properties, another home run!!! :-)

Clean, new house with a small plunge pool (perfect for our 3 toddlers). TV's in every room. Extra room off of front was perfect for remote workers who needed some private space. Spacious kitchen. Would rent again for sure.

The Atlantic Cottage in St. Simons Island is the perfect vacation rental for a family. We stayed with our 4 young children 5 and under, and were so impressed with the space, layout, and cleanliness of the house. The home looks like it is brand new, all of the amenities were as listed plus more. The pool was the perfect size for our little ones to enjoy and the street the house is on is so quiet and private. The beach is a 2 minute walk or 30 second golf cart ride away, and so many amazing restaurants are all within a 5 minute radius of the house. This rental is an absolute dream on the amazing St. Simons Island, we hope to be back again soon!

The Lilmar Properties Atlantic College is a dream vacation rental in St. Simons Island. The house looks brand new and is incredibly clean. All of the amenities were as listed and more. The off hours number was extremely responsive. We stayed with four young children 5 and under and they all loved the pool and the house was extremely kid friendly. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

We loved this house. And the island was wonderful. This is definitely a new favorite area for my family. The house was beautiful and very spacious. There were 9 of us and we never felt cramped. The one thing that was not as expected is that the house is advertised as four spacious bedrooms. In fact, the "bunk" room is very small with no closet and no access to a bathroom other than using one in one of the en suites. That was a bit of a problem. The pool was nice, but definitely smaller than expected. It is a true dipping pool. The gate code was not provided on initial paperwork, so we did have to call to get that. Other than that, we loved the house, and Susan at Lilmar was very nice and responsive with a few questions we had.

We were in town for my son's wedding. The house was absolutely perfect! We had 5 adults and 2 grandchildren and had plenty of space. It is an absolutely gorgeous home with all the amenities we could possibly need. The location was great as it was close to everything. We rented this beautiful home for our weekend stay celebrating our daughter’s wedding at the King and Prince. Although it rained all weekend, we were very comfortable in this over the top house. It accommodated our wedding party while we got hair and makeup done. Some amazing photos were taken inside also. This location was perfect for us and our needs. It made a less than desirable weather day actually a beautiful wedding day! Perfectly pleased with our choice to stay here.

Beautiful home one block from the beach. Home was well furnished with lots of room for our family. Enjoyed pool, TVs in each room and well stocked kitchen on quiet street. Easy beach access and within walking distance to several restaurants. Highly recommend!

This house has it all—great kitchen, pool, two master suites with king beds and walkable to the beach, restaurants, and shops. I walked to the yoga studio for a hot yoga class on day. Only had two complaints—one of the receptacles for recycling was missing so when we had separated our recyclables from trash we had to trash everything because there was only the trash bin also the grill on the side of the house needs to be looked at we tried to grill BBQ chicken and it went from slowly grilling to being burned. May want to check out that it is working properly for safety reasons. Other than that the owners checked in on us and were very accommodating. Would stay here again so relaxed and had everything we needed.
