Located steps from two oceanfront community pools, a covered pavilion, and the private beach boardwalk, Merri-Mac Cottage makes it easy to enjoy the beach and pool without getting in the car.

With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 10 guests, the cottage offers bright gathering spaces, comfortable bedrooms, inviting outdoor areas, and a private third-floor primary retreat with beautiful ocean views.

The first floor features two guest sleeping areas, each with convenient access to a full bathroom. One guest bedroom offers two double beds and a television, while the bunk room includes three bunk units and a television. For guest safety, the uppermost bunk on each unit is not available for use. Both bathrooms feature marble countertops and walk-in showers, and the laundry area is also located on this level.

Upstairs, the main living level brings the kitchen, dining, and living spaces together in a bright, open floor plan. Abundant windows, warm wood floors, comfortable sectional seating, and a television create an easy gathering space, while the dining table seats six for meals, games, and time together.

The kitchen is especially well suited for guests who enjoy cooking, with a professional-style gas range, generous prep space, a large center island, abundant cabinetry, dishwasher, microwave drawer, full-size refrigerator, standalone ice maker, wine cooler, additional cold storage, and a coffee maker. Whether you are putting together a quick breakfast before the beach or settling in for dinner at home, the kitchen offers plenty of room to cook and gather.

Just outside the main living area, the covered balcony with a hanging porch bed is an inviting spot to curl up with a book, enjoy an afternoon nap, or simply relax in the coastal breeze while overlooking the colorful Coast Cottages neighborhood. A convenient half bathroom completes this level.

The third floor is dedicated to the primary suite, creating a peaceful retreat above the main gathering spaces. The bedroom features a king bed, television, generous closet space, and double doors opening to the upper balcony.

From the balcony, enjoy elevated views across Coast Cottages toward the Historic Coast Guard Station and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The spacious primary bathroom features dual sinks with marble countertops, a large walk-in shower, linen storage, and a separate toilet area.

Coast Cottages & East Beach

Coast Cottages is known for its colorful coastal homes, brick-paved lanes, lush landscaping, and relaxed East Beach setting. A short walk through the community leads to two oceanfront pools, a covered pavilion, and the private boardwalk to East Beach.

At least one of the two community pools is heated on select weekends and holiday periods from late September through late May, including Thanksgiving, Christmas week, and the Spring Break period. Additional heating may also be available by advance request for a daily fee. Pool heating is not offered during the summer season. 

East Beach is a favorite setting for beach days, morning walks, shelling, biking, and time along the Atlantic. The nearby Historic Coast Guard Station is home to the World War II Home Front Museum, while Pier Village, the St. Simons Lighthouse, Neptune Park, local restaurants, shops, and the pier are a short drive or bike ride away.

A gas grill is also available at the cottage for relaxed meals at home
