Lucy's Hideaway

The property management team was amazing to work with. They responded promptly to our requests and questions, even on a holiday (which I was not expecting). The property itself is a charming home in a quiet neighborhood close to the pier and 'downtown' area. The yard is spacious and well maintained. The pool, hot tub and grill were nice to have available. We mostly enjoyed our stay for those reasons, however, I think it's important to point out a few things for any prospective guests.The house is smaller than it appears in the listing. It is very nicely decorated and clean but there is not much indoor space if you have a larger party or two families staying together. The bedrooms are small, the beds are not very comfortable, and there are no TVs in the bedrooms. We had an issue with pests during our stay which was disappointing but again, the property management company sent out pest control twice while we were there in an effort to remedy the situation.

This was our first time staying on Saint Simons Island, and we absolutely loved it! The home was spotless and exactly as pictured on VRBO. We especially appreciated that we could bring our daughter’s dog, Wells—it was his first vacation with us! The fenced-in backyard was perfect for him, and the provided doggy blankets and towels were such a thoughtful touch.The location couldn’t have been better—everything we wanted to do or eat was within five minutes, so it made getting around incredibly easy. The property management team was friendly, communicative, and always available to answer any questions we had.We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard and the pool. Both the front and back yards were beautifully maintained and made for a relaxing environment. We’ll definitely be back—and we’d absolutely stay at this home again!

Lucy’s Hideaway is exactly that - very close to restaurants and shops but still tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. If you enjoy diverse, beautiful landscaping and a private pool area, this home will not disappoint. The interior is nicely updated but note that the bedrooms are not configured as en-suites. Lilmar Properties staff are always very responsive to any inquiries. I find them to be the benchmark for property management teams. Even though we didn’t experience and problems, it’s nice to know that they are a phone call or text away.

The property is gorgeous and the location is ideal. However, when we arrived, there was dog waste all over the yard that we had to clean up ourselves. The garage smelled like fumes and we had to leave the garage open most days to air it out. If not, we wouldn’t have been able to use the 4th bedroom. When a maintenance man came to change the batteries in the carbon monoxide detector, he claimed to not have smelled anything. Some dishes were dirty. The back door to the screen porch was bent and allowed for bugs to get in. Landscapers and a pool guy showed up with no warning to us. I just thank god both days that we had taken our dog out with us. We should have at least been warned people were coming to the property so we could secure our dog and so we weren’t alarmed at seeing people in the yard. I realize most of these are minor things, but when going away for vacation and paying the cleaning fees and every other fee, it should be immaculate and I shouldn’t have to clean up after previous guests.

This St. Simons Island house is in a great location and offers a ton of amenities. It's within a short bike ride to the pier shops and restaurants and yet sits in a quiet neighborhood so you don't get the noise of the crowds. The backyard is breathtaking at night. You can see a ton of stars while sitting in the hot tub. We especially loved the fenced in front and back yards. It was helpful for containing our 2 little doodles. Lilmar was very helpful and immediately responsive when we had any minor issue. The bed was so comfortable too. We had a great time and know others who stay here will too.

We are already discussing when to return. Lucy’s Hideaway is a lovely Saint Simon’s cottage that has been thoughtfully updated to be a spacious, CLEAN, getaway. The layout is lovely for a family, but would work for a couple to escape to together. It’s maybe the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in, inside and out. (Not a crumb in a kitchen drawer, no bugs, no dust.) The location is so perfect for biking to the beach, pier, parks, spirit tree hunting, etc. We had PLENTY of towels. We never used the ones we brought. The outdoor space is absolutely serene. The heated pool and spa made our winter vacation a favorite for my kids. (Okay for ys adults also!!) I cannot recommend Lucy’s or Lilmar Properties enough. The concierge service for our rental bikes and all of the little offerings and details Lilmar provides made this a standout trip. We truly felt like valued guests.

When we lost power (due to the ice storm). Lilmar moved us to Lucy's Hideaway which was very warm due to having a generator. We were so grateful to have a warm place to sleep in and stay until power was restored.

My family enjoyed our stay at Lucy’s Hideaway. The location was perfect. We would certainly stay here again! The barn doors on the hallway bathroom was somewhat of a nuisance. The front bathroom always smelled damp and water went out of the shower area every time it was used.

I have stayed at this house twice for golf weekends in Saint Simons. The house is beautifully renovated and spotless. The location is phenomenal, close to the pier village and all the restaurants and nightlife. Backyard is incredible - surprisingly large and private with great pool and hot tub. I am a frequent visitor to the island and this will be my first choice house whenever it’s available!

We had a great stay. The location is perfect for the beach and village. While it is close to everything the neighborhood is very quiet. We could walk to church as well. Furniture and appointments are all new and fresh. Pool and hot tub are nice and the pool area is very private. Can’t wait to go back.
