Our extended family came down for March Break and loved every minute at this house. The high ceilings, large porches, and beautiful finishes have us ready for our next visit. The kitchen even had a little tea pot for the tea drinker (me). I would highly recommend paying to heat the pool. It was well worth it to us as we used it every day.

We enjoyed our stay at Shayna Playa. Great location very nice home! The only thing is the advertisement for the reservation says two of the guest beds are queen beds but they are actually full size, because we measured the width. We made it work but keep that in mind when you book.

The home seemed better than described! We had plenty of room for our 9 people. The children loved the pool, the parents loved the nearness of the beach and the ease of biking to dinners. We hope to return again!

We had a fantastic trip to SSI, and loved our stay at Shayna Playa. The home and location was awesome! The only feedback would be that the secondary bathtub/shower upstairs has a very slow drain. I believe it needs a quick drain check. Thank you!

We enjoyed a fun girls' weekend in St. Simon's and this was the perfect house. We had plenty of room and everything was extremely clean. We appreciated the beautiful, well-appointed kitchen as we had several meals at the house. We also loved the pool. Close enough for a quick drive to the downtown area and no problems with parking.

This was a beautiful, clean and well-appointed home for our group of girls. We enjoyed using the kitchen to have a few meals and we especially loved our pool time in the afternoons. Fantastic, well-appointment property that's close to everything. The fact that the parking is around the back was super convenient and gave us plenty of space for 2 cars, a large golf cart + 4 rented bikes. Kitchen was well stocked and included the basics like cooking oil/seasonings/coffee filters, which is always appreciated. Updated appliances, great AC (which was needed as we had 3x days above 100 degrees), clean linens + plenty of beach towels. The only very minor thing we missed was beach chairs, which previous rentals in SSI have included - just make sure to plan accordingly. Overall a fantastic stay, highly recommended!

For the most part our stay was enjoyable. The only negative was that the upstairs queen bed was so wore out and uncomfortable to sleep on. The property manager was very responsive but they couldn’t resolve this issue for us unfortunately. Other than that it was the perfect location and walkable to everything we wanted to do.

The house was beautiful and super clean. Close to everything and the pool was an absolute must. We requested that it be heated and it was perfectly warm when we checked into the house and jumped in! Would absolutely stay here again :-)

Opted to pay for the heated pool, and it was definitely worth it. Outside temp was 58 degrees at night, but the pool water was warm enough that even when I got out to go back in the house, I did not get uncomfortably cold. The pool is lit, which is great for those evenings when the sun is going down early. The house was very clean and a nicely updated.

We, a family of six, were thoroughly pleased with Shayna Playa and the very efficient staff at Lilmar Properties. We had rented another property thru VRBO only to receive notice at 11:00 p.m. the night before we were to check in that the property wasn’t available and that they didn’t have an acceptable replacement. Fortunately we found Lilmar properties and they jumped through hoops to find a place at the last minute and get it cleaned in time for our afternoon check in! And the best part is the house was just what we wanted. Extremely clean, in a great location, and all the amenities that we wanted.

The place and the location were great. The pool was the best-totally saved our stay because the weather was soooo bad the whole time we were there. We cranked the pool up to 92 and it was really really nice. Only problem with the place was that the TV sets weren’t working quite right. The one in the downstairs bedroom was not a smart tv and we couldn’t actually get it to do anything at all. The others barely worked. Wouldn’t have mattered normally, but, again, it was really bad weather. Overall, we loved the place and would totally go back!

We had the perfect week here!! The property was very clean and location was perfect! We rented a golf cart and had a great time! The pool was a huge plus and the realty company was super responsive!! We stayed here for our first time visiting St Simons with my family and it was great! Upon arrival everything was very clean and the property looked just like the pictures! The management company was very responsive during our stay and made sure to address anything we needed. The pool was our fav!! So spacious and had enough chairs for all 7 of us. I just wish there was a tv in the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed as the master and the downstairs bedroom had one but that’s my only suggestion. We rented a golf cart as well and the house was in a perfect location as we rode them all week! We will def be back to stay here!

We loved the rooms, and space the home has. Everything was clean and well maintained. Some small complaints would be the outdoor shower is opposite of the pool and it's at the edge of a deck so falls could happen while trying to wash the sand off. Also, the water pressure in the showers could be better. All in all, it's a great place and we definitely enjoyed St. Simons.

Kids, parents, and Grandparents stayed in this large house for a week. The pool was a perfect size for 4 kiddos and a few adults. The house had many more items available than what was listed like dishwasher pods and laundry pods. We cooked at least two meals a day for 10 people. The upstairs children’s bunk room was VERY hot. No matter how many fans we tried, it was stifling. The rest of the house was perfectly comfortable. Parking was ample for 3 cars, and the kids really enjoyed our trip. Nice, clean home. Walk to beach access is a manageable shady walk. We rented a golf cart, which worked out great, with parking a beach access. The pool is on the smaller side but worked out great for a mix of adults and small children. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

There isn't anything bad I can say about this property except the queen size needs to be replaced, lol. It is the squeakiest bed I have ever heard of, but sleeps wonderfully! We loved the location and especially the front porch sitting. The pool was our youngest daughter's favorite part. We enjoyed our stay and plan to book this home again in the future. Worth every penny spent!

Took a girls trip to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. There were 7 of us and it was plenty comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the close walk to lighthouse/pier. Only challenge was finding the key to get in when we arrived. Also the queen size bed upstairs could use to be replaced. Overall the place was perfect!

This was the perfect house for our stay in St Simone. The location was perfect and the house even better. Plenty of room to spread out kitchen was fully stocked and the pool was my boys favorite! Only thing that was a ‘problem’ was we were not told where the lock box was. It is hidden behind vines on the lattice across from the back door. It took us about 15 min to find it. We did get a call about it after I left a VM but we already found it by then. Great service when we needed the pool heated higher they were out in less then 10 min…don’t pass this house up it’s perfect!!

The house is gorgeous! Loved having our own pool and the beach is right around the corner. Had an issue with the toilets and it was taken care of immediately. We would definitely stay here again!

This house is a wonderful place to stay while you vacation on St. Simon! The location is amazing!!! You can easily walk to many restaurants to get something to eat or just get an ice cream after dinner at home! It is minutes away from all the stores of any kind you many need as well as lots of great beaches! The house is super clean, has plenty of room, and the pool is wonderful to have. Although the pool is small it is big enough for your family to jump in and cool off and for the kids to play in happily! We will definitely be renting this fabulous home again!

Great property within walking (or golf carting - highly recommend!) distance from all that St. Simons has to offer. Off the beach and quiet. Pool is perfect (but not heated, so be aware!).

The premises were perfect for what we were looking for. Really enjoyed the pool. Would certainly recommend for a family get away and week of fun. Within easy walking distance of beach, restaurants and downtown shopping

Really nice newer home with the touches and flare of an older home, i.e. tall ceilings & doors, wide baseboards & crown moldings , and the flooring. Also close to the beach, lighthouse, and shopping. All was just a few minutes walk. The staff at SSI Rental very friendly and helpful.

We were in town for a wedding and this home was a great place for us. Close to venue and lots of space for our family of 8. Thank you for a great visit! We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place on St Simon's Island!

We had a great time at this property! Enjoyed some epic volleyball games in the pool, reading on the various front porches, and walking and biking to the shops and the beach!

Gate to pool didn’t open/close, otherwise very nice place.

Manager Response: Hi Ray, thank you for your review of this property. The gate to the pool from the parking area stays locked for safety, and privacy. The main entry gate to the house is the one which should be used to access the pool area. We apologize for the confusion with this.

Great place to stay! Perfect for our 2 families to spread out and have plenty of space. The kids loved the pool. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies.

We could not have asked for a better home and experience on St. Simons. The home was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family of 5. It was spotless upon arrival. We loved the location; just walking or biking the neighborhood streets. We also loved taking a bike ride into Pier Village nearby. The pool was a huge hit with the kids and just the perfect size. We loved the swinging chairs on the upstairs balcony; taking turns reading and snoozing in them. Parking was convenient, in back of the house. The kitchen had new appliances and was so easy to cook in. The farm table was also great for family game night. We will definitely return to this little gem and St. Simons!

This property truly has it all! We loved being able to walk to the village for meals, and shoppings, as well as walking to the beach for fun in the sun. The multiple outdoor living spaces really make you feel like you're on vacation. The upper deck has the most comfortable hammock chairs that we found perfect for reading, and napping. We requested that the pool be heated during our stay, and it was perfect. The beds are all super comfortable with nice linens. The large laundry room was wonderful, and the upstairs wet bar made our evening happy hour so convenient. Everything about this property is perfect! We can't wait to visit this amazing property again soon!
