Blue Skies Cottage

Loved the cozy feel of the cottage and especially enjoyed the screened in porch and fireplace. Very well appointed and private. A very minor suggestion would be to provide a blow dryer. Not a big deal but seems standard at most places so I didn’t pack one. Would l love to stay here again!

Very cute and comfortable house. Really liked it. Great sitting areas and screened porch. Too warm for fire pit but that would be great at a cooler time. Perfect for 3 adult sisters! Clean, well furnished, nice bedding. Only cons: Low water pressure in hallway bathroom. A box of Kleenex in the house would be nice. Wine glasses were on very top shelf which required getting up on a rickety bar stool to get them down - quite a hazard!

We stayed at the Blue Skies Cottage for a long weekend with friends. The house was perfect for our group! It was located so close to everything we needed and the back porch was incredible! The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped and the living rooms were very comfortable as well!

Cottage was very clean and close to the Villages where the restaurants and shops were located. Easily accessible to the main road so getting to other parts of the island was not a problem.

This was our second stay at the Blue Skies Cottage & we enjoyed it both times! It's a very comfortable cottage & very nicely decorated! The back screened porch is so enjoyable & each morning found us outside enjoying our coffee. We came on an extremely hot heat wave but always found the cottage to be cool & comfortable. It was very clean & it had everything we needed. It's close to the airport but has a nice buffer of trees & the few planes taking off were more exciting than a nuisance. I would recommend this cottage whole heartedly. It is convenient to the village but also feels private in it's own residential area. We will be back!

Our family scheduled this vacation on St. Simons as a High School Graduation celebration trip for our youngest and loved every minute of our time. This home was exactly as listed, very clean, cozy and near everything in a great neighborhood. We rented bicycles and rarely used the car the entire trip. If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation with a small coastal town atmosphere, great food and plenty to do, we highly recommend you start here!

We have just returned from what was the BEST beach family vacation we have ever had. This very nicely appointed home is perfectly located on St. Simons Island, it is close to everything! We rented bicycles and explored the island, seeing the sights - rarely using our vehicles the entire trip. The booking process was super easy, and the management team were only a text away if we had questions. For the first time ever, the kids had real tears on the day we had to pack up…we all miss Blue Skies already, and hope to get back soon. Thank you for offering this amazing property for us to enjoy!

What a great find! The house was clean and perfectly laid out with 2 separate living areas so kids could have their own space separate from the adults but close enough to keep an eye on them. The master is located on the far end of the house away from the other 2 bedrooms allowing for some added privacy. The screened-in porch and backyard provided more space to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. The property is less than a 5-minute drive from the town and the beach. The only minor drawback is the property backs up to the private airport but the pros of this vacation rental outweigh any cons. We would definitely recommend this property and return again in the future.

Charming and ideally located, this exceptionally clean and comfortable rental is a gem! Great layout, light filled, beautifully furnished as well as decorated on a lovely landscaped lot. Having a laundry room pocket door to the primary bath allowed more use of it without disturbing primary bedroom. Screened porch with gas fireplace was a favorite spot. Even enjoyed hearing and seeing glimpses of small planes taking off behind trees of large backyard. Only used kitchen for coffee, drinks and snacks but it’s a lovely space that appeared to be well equipped. Enjoyed pleasant walks to and from village area and around neighborhood. Also spent half a day riding electric bikes around and another few hours kayaking just a few miles from the house. Trolley tour is a good way to get an overview of the island. Trees everywhere are amazing! A host of wonderful eateries, bars, shops, historic spots and friendly people. Management company who handles the house rental was considerate, proficient and easy to work with. As you can tell, it was an outstanding stay!!

The house met every expectation after reading all of the reviews. The finishing touch would be to provide another umbrella, chairs and a beach wagon. The drive to the beach was bearable but carrying beach items every day down to the beach was tedious.

This home was very clean! Even under the bed. (We dropped something and it rolled under the bed). The starter pack was very much appreciated! The communication prior to was most helpful. We really enjoyed the Blue Sky Cottage! We loved all the decorations and touches throughout the house. It is on a very quiet street. The small airport behind this did not bother us. In fact, we enjoyed seeing a plane or two fly by each morning while eating breakfast. We saw a cute little rabbit the first day we arrived! We enjoyed seeing and hearing the birds. The beds were very comfortable! The only issue we really had was when we arrived... the house was hot and the temperature was set on 78. Not that big of a deal...just turned on the fans and cooled off. It was nice to have extra fans located in the closet also. I also really loved that this rental uses Nest products.... the Sicilian Tangerine smelled so good! Thank you for a wonderful stay in this beautiful, quaint area! We had a great time and highly recommend this adorable cottage!

We were so happy with our stay at Kings Terrace….the house is exactly as listed…well maintained including the inside furnishings….comfy beds! Having the front tv room along with the back sitting area & porch made our stay easy when we needed a little downtime. Our favorite area was the screened in porch with the lovely fire place which we enjoyed every night of our week stay. The lawn, gardens & outdoor area, along with fire pit, were well maintained & added to outside enjoyment. The house was within walking distance for the RSM tournament & was in a nice area of mostly remodeled similar cute bungalows. The management team was quick to respond to any needs or questions that we had…we definitely would stay here again & would highly recommend to others.

We spend the first week of December on an annual family vacation to St. Simons and Jekyll Island. We have adult children so look for accommodations to handle multiple bedrooms and baths as well as a nice layout for the common area. Since Covid-19 we have spent more time making meals in, so the kitchen set up is important to us. We found this property to be particularly awesome for our needs. The back screened in porch with gas fireplace was perfect for evening hanging out time. The property is perfectly landscaped and inviting. Parking is great too. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood in the mornings. We also appreciated the games available for use during our visit. Taboo was a hit! We had a wonderful visit and recommend this vacation home.

Open spaces, lovely decor, cozy, comfortable, clean, everything we needed and more. Not enough words to describe this very lovely home. Don't get me started on the screened in porch. I want to come back in the fall so I can sit by the outdoor fireplace. It was our first time traveling with friends. This home allowed us to stretch out when we wanted to, and plenty of places to gather for lasting memories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Skies! The house is super clean, well appointed, and is in a very convenient location. It's decorated beautifully and the yard is well maintained. The house was great! The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the back porch a lot too! We used the grill one night and it was clean and worked well. The house is walkable to the pier and restaurants and a very short drive to the beach. We loved being able to ride bikes everywhere. Next time I’d probably take my own towels. I felt the towels could have been cleaner (I’m picky though) and there were only 2 washcloths.

We just returned from our week long stay at blue skies cottage. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. We had a great time! Even after some storms and losing power, the house had plenty of things to help entertain us. We loved the puzzles and games that were available. House is clean and well taken care of. The backyard is awesome! Screened in back room is a perfect place to drink coffee and have meals. We played outside and used the fire pit. My husband loves the grilled too (= Perfect location, not on a busy street. We rode bikes to the village and to the beach. We already are planning our next trip and will use Lilmar Properties.

We had a great experience renting Blue Skies! It's very nicely decorated & comfortable. The back porch was so enjoyable, especially drinking our morning coffee! It has many spots to relax & spread out, if you want a little privacy from the rest of your group. we will return to this rental!

Wonderfully appointed, extremely clean and great location. Airport close but rarely did we hear planes and never at night. We loved every minute. Hassle free check in and out! Thanks.

The cottage was perfectly charming and I would give it a very high recommendation. The screened back deck with gas fireplace adds a nice ambience. I had family on the island at the same time and we were deemed to have found the best accommodations.

The home is cozy and clean. The beds are comfortable and the location is perfect. Walking and biking in the neighborhood is easy and safe. We were very happy with our stay. There is an airport directly behind the property with considerable air traffic, so expect some noise in the back yard when you visit. I love planes, so this wasn't an issue for me!

This property deserves more than five stars! The pictures online are great but it is even BETTER in person. Very clean and spacious. The screened porch with gas fireplace was so cozy. We were there on a rainy and cold weekend but would have loved to use the firepit in the backyard. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen gathered around the cool wood island. The kitchen was one of my favorite parts of the house...open, inviting, well set up. There were two adult couples that stayed and the house had more than enough space. We all commented over and over how great the house is and that we will be back. Even with the less than ideal weather we had a great time. I corresponded once with the property management company and Adam responded quickly to my inquiry. I want to make sure to say that it had nothing to do with a problem as everything was PERFECT. Oh, and the beds are COMFY. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a great space.

Everything was exactly as advertised. The accommodations were clean and very home feeling. I would recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in this wonderful home. When I return to the area for another golf tournament, I would surely request this location. On a side note- Susan with the management company was simply wonderful, pleasant and knowledgeable. 5 STAR !!

This property is wonderful. It was clean, comfortable, fully functional and simply a joy to use while we explored Saint Simons Island! Everything was as advertised and the furnishings were even more comfortable than we could have expected. The Master Bedroom was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The Owner/Manager was very helpful and kept us informed of every detail through emails and information at the home itself. We were more than satisfied and appreciated the opportunity to stay at Blue Skies!

Gosh - where to begin?? We've been staying on island every year for 11 years but this year decided to try a new rental. Having had a very bad experience with another property from another company a few years ago, we were very nervous . . . until we arrived and saw this beautiful house! The furniture and decor are just lovely - a wonderful mix of new and vintage, quality furniture and linens and whoever restored this home/added on spared no expense. Absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED the screened in back porch and used the gas fireplace every single day. (Just be careful when you light it -- stand back -- the flames really shoot out!) We enjoyed the puzzles and games since we had a bit of a rainy week but also were able to have a great bonfire in back and played some croquet. It was so great to have beach chairs, bag, etc. because typically I have to buy those and then leave them for others. We did buy a chair umbrella and left that behind :) . The kitchen is STOCKED with every type of small and large appliance you could need, plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. and even a cupboard with 'kiddie' cups, plates, etc. The neighborhood is very quiet and we loved hearing an owl every night in the back yard. Yes, it's next to the airport but honestly, it was not an issue for us as the planes do not fly in and out at night and it's not constant even during the day. One other thing to note: The porch has a 1-2" uneven spot and it took us a few days to remember it's there . . . just watch your step! Do not hesitate AT ALL to rent this house - it's wonderful!! We hope to move here some day and this house is EXACTLY what we'd be looking for. We will be back again until the day we own a house of our own on SSI!

My girlfriend fell in love with this house. It’s stocked with everything you need, it’s decorated very cute, and the back patio area is very relaxing. The temperature was only in the 60s, but we used the fireplace every night. We plan to be back soon.

House was great, very clean and decorated very pretty. Very well equipped had everything we needed and more. The only issue we found was that the master bedroom/bath and den area were very warm. I think another AC unit may be needed to cool the home properly, or maybe service the unit there. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Skies. Plenty of room for the four of us. The back porch was our favorite place. We enjoyed the fire pit immensely. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was perfect! Thank you for such wonderful accommodations.

Great place and location. Manager was attentive to our needs and attempted to resolve issues even after hours. AC started working better after they added Freon to it but I guess it’s that time of the year when it’s too hot and the AC continued to struggle between 12 noon and 6 pm. It was tolerable and there was stand fans that were available to cool it down more. House is clean and kitchen is fully equipped. We will be back when it’s cooler like this fall or early next year. Highly recommend the place.

Blue skies cottage was the perfect vacation home! It was clean and had everything you can think of that you might need. It was roomy, very nicely decorated, and extremely comfortable! We will definitely be back!

We had such a lovely week at this house. The owners considered all of their guests’ needs when they put together this house - from fire wood in the lovely backyard fire pit, to coffee filters and spices for cooking, to board games for kids and adults to play. The layout is perfect for a family to relax after a day spent at the nearby beach. We can’t wait to return next year!

We just returned from a week’s stay at Blue Skies Cottage. It was such a relaxing trip! The house was clean, comfortable and quiet. It had all that we needed. The kitchen was well appointed. My husband and I stayed in the king bedroom and it was very comfortable and the en-suite bath was nice as well. Our daughter stayed in the queen bedroom and said she rested well while there. The back screened in porch was an added bonus for her to do her drawings and just slow down. A cute little rabbit came and visited her on two occasions. We were close to Pier Village and also drove to a few restaurants along Frederica as well. It was our first time on the island and will definitely not be our last. Thanks for having such a charming cottage to rent!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Skies Cottage. It was was clean, relaxing perfect air conditioning, spacious, and all around one of our favorite cottages. I only wish we could take it with us and stay in it everywhere we go. It was that wonderful. Loved the garden and fire pit option too. A nice quite neighborhood. We liked watching the plans fly. Not sure why anyone would think tiny private planes would be noisy, as they were not. They only fly during day light and we were busy doing things on the island most of the time. We loved all of it. We had a beautiful Christmas stay in this adorable, clean and well equipped home. The decor was so charming and we immediately felt right at home. We loved the location which was easily accessible to all that St. Simons has to offer. We were a party of four which included our kids ages 7 and 3. They loved the backyard and we all enjoyed the sun room in the back with the fireplace. We are truly hoping to return as soon as possible as we not only have fallen love with the home, but the whole island. Thank you for our best VRBO ever.

Thank you for providing such a beautiful & comfortable cottage. We loved it from the minute we walked in the front door. The decor is wonderful and invites one to set down and relax - which we did. Blue Skies is clean, which was much appreciated. The bedrooms were comfortable with nice linens, another plus. Kings Terrace is a wonderful quiet area to stay in on the island. Can't say enough good things, the pictures don't tell the full story of how great this cottage is!

We stayed at Blue Skies cottage for a long weekend with friends. It was the absolute perfect rental with enough space to spread out and relax. Our favorite was the screened in porch perfect for cocktails and dinner! We would happily stay here again as well as recommend to any friends/family. Thanks for a great weekend!

We arrived late in the evening not knowing what to expect. Opened the door and couldn’t have been happier with what we found! The house may look small from the outside but it is very large and roomy! It was clean and tastefully decorated. The layout of the house is great. There is enough room for everyone to have their own space or have everyone all together to watch movies. It was about a ten minute walk to the Village Pier and beach. There is a small airport behind the house but only heard planes a few times on the weekend- never an issue. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

We have never rented a property for a vacation before. The whole process could not have been easier. The location was perfect and gave us many exciting outings. We had plenty of room in the beautifully decorated house and it was close to The Villages for shopping, the beaches for enjoying the sun and the other Islands so that we could go out and explore. We were not able to take advantage of the screened in porch or the fire pit because we were down there during July and it was a bit too hot! We will definitely be scheduling another time that we can enjoy all the amenities. Trips to the stores were limited because so much was included with the home. PS, the Landscaping was absolutely beautiful and well-thought-out. Thank you so much for the opportunity and the experience, enjoyed every minute we were there. The Labs Family

We truly enjoyed our week at Blue Skies in SSI. The cottage felt like our home away from home. The decor was lovely, my kids enjoyed having their own rooms (they always end up sharing when we vacation), and the location was perfect! We will definitely rent this sweet cottage again!

Beautifully decorated and centrally located, this home was perfect for our two couple group. Bedrooms and baths were located so each couple had privacy. We even had our own seating areas with tv. The kitchen, gas fireplace on the porch and outdoor fire pit were where we could all be together. Live plants in the house made it feel like a home. We even had a bluebird pair building a nest outside our window. We had some initial concerns about the airport runway in the back yard. Other than a couple of hours on a Friday night, the flights were occasional and smaller planes. The noise was not a problem. The neighborhood was quiet and houses are well maintained. We are looking at coming again next winter and staying longer.

Beautifully decorated home - so comforting and unique - beautiful yard and layout - has everything I needed for my stay - convenient location to the beach, shopping, and dining - very close to the grocery store - great location for bike riding - made my visit to St Simons perfect - will definitely be back!
